Ross River School
Community Committee

The Ross River Dena Council signed a Community Committee Agreement with the First Nation School Board on June 24th 2024.

This historic agreement was signed by Ross River Dena Chief and Council and FNSB Trustee and Dana Tizya-Tramm.

Community Committee agreements are flexibile to change, adapt, and grow in time. They outline which powers of the Education Act are shared between the Community Committee and the school board.

Community Committees empower the community to guide its own school.

The Ross River School (RRS) Community Committee is the governing body for the K-12 school in Tułidlini. Together, they share authorities and responsibilities over the management and operation of the school with the First Nation School Board.

They are representatives of, and accountable to, the community of Tułidlini including the First Nations, Elders and Knowledge Keepers, residents and citizens, parents, families - and above all - the Learners of RRS.
